Every 2 years by the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of International Labor Affairs announced the "2005 Trafficking Victims Protection reauthorization act", stipulated: child labor or forced labor production goods list or TVPRA list, has released version seventh, and marked 75 countries, a total of 139 products, from child labor or forced the production of labor. This year was added to the list of products that include: textile, leather and footwear manufactured in Vietnam. According to the Vietnamese government and the International Labor Organization (ILO) survey data report shows that an estimated 6049 children engaged in textile production, and mainly concentrated in the manufacturing and finishing phase. Of these, about 42.9% (or 2595) children under the age of 15 (15 years of age for the lowest employment in Vietnam). In the textile industry's 6049 child labor, about 448 between 5~11 years old, 2147 between 12~14 years old, 3454 between 15~17 years old; at the same time, about 96% for women.
